Our story
Dedicated to craft, driven by results. Thirty-four homes renovated in the DMV since 2022.
Sandcastles Design/Build was founded on a simple conviction: homeowners and realtors deserve a renovation partner who combines strong design and craftsmanship with financial sense. Renovations must either contribute to quality of life for the occupants or increase the value of the property--and hopefully both.
Over the years, we have completed projects ranging from single-room updates to whole-house transformations — kitchens, baths, living spaces, exteriors, and everything in between. Each project is managed end-to-end: design, materials selection, permitting as required, construction, and most important, quality control audits that involv.
We work with a tight network of trusted tradespeople — no revolving door of subcontractors. The same faces show up on day one and day last. That continuity means projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Communication every step of the way
No surprises. Never a dime spent without written approval. Scheduled and regular walkthroughs with owners, structured to catch mistakes early, correct oversights, implement change orders as early as possible in the process. The truth is: there are always surprises in a complex renovation. But how those surprises are managed separates good contractors from not-so-good.

Financial workouts
Sandcastles specializes in rescue of properties under stress from neglect, financial hardship, vacancy, or abandonment. We bring the entire suite of services necessary to bring these properties back to life and listing condition.
Financing options set us apart
If you are selling a properly, Sandcastles will finance your renovation and get paid at closing. There is no upfront cost. In the case of a property nearing foreclosure or declared uninhabitable, we are very experienced at negotiating with foreclosure lawyers, banks, mortgage brokers, and municipal departments--whatever is necessary to return the property to a marketable asset on behalf of the owner.
Estate situations
We offer a turnkey service that often begins with assisting occupants to relocate and disposal of property contents. We sort and sell valuable content, plan estate sales, and then landfill the balance.
